IDC Staff Instructor Captain Carl Sanfilippo Captain #3424774 With more than 18 years of experience and over 3,400 dives to his credit, Carl Sanfilippo is one of the most respected divers in Central New York. His passion for diving extends into his classrooms, where he still enjoys the thrill of watching first time divers begin their love affair with the open water. A PADI IDC Staff Instructor, Sanfilippo has been privileged to certify hundreds of divers at all levels of diving. As a 35 year educator and 28 year head football coach, a person's safety and well being are the most important components in teaching you to dive. You always come first at Freedom Scuba USA.

Master Scuba Diver Trainer Jason Meany

Jason has been diving for 6 years and finished his instructor training in Key Largo. He is currently a science teacher in Syracuse and was a coach and avid runner. Jason has always loved the ocean and cares for a large reef aquarium in his home. Nothing excites Jason more then teaching scuba and helping new students. It's his way of reliving the excitement of the first experience of breathing underwater. Jason teaches the following specialties: Underwater Navigator, Boat, Enriched Air (NITROX), Digital Underwater Photography, Deep, Night Diver, Fish Identification, Emergency Oxygen Provider, Care for Children w/AED, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Project Aware, and AWARE Coral Reef Conservation
